Wiki - Create article & Edit

How to write/edit an article on this wiki ?

1. Log in

To be able create a new article (called "Page" on wiki) on this wiki or edit an existing one, you must log in.

If you don't have account yet, the first time you try to log in, you will be suggested to create your account. You'll be able to create an account only with an Officience email account. Sorry, Offy fans. Being official offy gives you some privileges.

2. Search to create an article

Search for article you want to write about first. It may already exist or an similar article may exist.

If no article is suitable, you will be suggested to create the "Page" with the name of your search. Click on "Create the Page Your_Search" (Your_Search being what you searched for) and start to write.

3. To edit an article

After you logged in, you will see a new Tab "Edit" on top of articles your are reading and "Edit" within the article. You know what to do next.

Critics

Hum... As October 2017, editing is quite cumbersome. Yes, not easy to use the editing tool to format things look the way you want. Try to make a table, or insert a picture is quite technical : geek will love it ! You almost need to code. Even after Visual Editor module installation, editing is not WYSIWYG.

1. Can I modify the title of the article after create it ? : Hum... That's a bum. You can't do yourself. You'll have to ask an administrator. So, choose your title carefully, please.
2. How do I add an image ? : Hum... That's a feasible. But not that easy. Check out Offy Wiki Contribution for beginners
3. How do I add a table ? : Yep, not easy just yet. [1]
