Why Officience Wiki ?

1. You will consolidate your knowledge

Writing in wiki, or anywhere else helps you to consolidate your knowledge. Writing force yourself to organize your ideas and information to make it shareable.

2. You will collaborate

This work on wiki is done with collaboration of others. As everyone with an Officience email can edit content, colleagues will help to improve, complete your articles. Discussions are sure to happen between writers/editors/readers. In comparison, Google Sites we used in the past were editable only by authorized people. That makes Google sites rapidly obsolete when people in charge were not active anymore or left without proper transfer.

3. You will centralize the knowledge

One limitation with Google Sites was also that many offies created many Google Sites. Information was spreaded in mutliple places. Wiki solved that issus being one and only place to concentrate knowledge.

4. You will share to the world

You obviously share the knowledge with your colleagues, but also to the world. Wiki is, indeed, accessible to anyone. Yes, that is correct.

Tip : after you write an article, tweet it, share it on Facebook, Linkedin, Google+ or whatever social network you prefer. That is great way to spread the knowledge.

5. And it will last for long

One issue we have when sharing knowledge on Google+ is that posts from former offies are deleted when their email account is desactivated. What a waste ! Wiki solve this problem. Articles are here to stay whether the author still have or not an Officience email account.

Technical

This Wiki uses MediaWiki plateform.
Backup is done everyday in 2 place onsite-amazon & offsite-our server in LHP.

A little bit of history

Officience Wiki was initiated in June 2015 by Thanh Tin NGUYEN. It was first hosted kb.officience.com ("kb" for knowledge base) and targeted to shared IT knowledge within IT Craft cluster. But was not very popular at that time.
Thao Lan NGUYEN decided in 2016 to put in her objectives to push the plateform. Cao Phong DUONG suggested to rename into "wiki" to match spirit of the plateform.
Thao Lan launched Skype chatroom Wiki Offy that would become Ban Bien Tap of Officience Wiki.
